What is difference between a BS in Computer Information Systems and a BS in Computer Science?

What is difference between a BS in Computer Information Systems and a BS in Computer Science? If I major in CIS, I will be able to easily minor in computer science. Would I be able to get the same jobs with these majors? Do you feel that these majors will become outdated quickly? Right now, I know I am majoring in Finance and minoring in Computer Science. I would pursue CS or CIS as a second major. Thanks in advance for your input.

Yeah, I take it that what you are calling CIS is often called MIS, for Management Information Systems. Basically, MIS people use tools, and CS people make them. I think it depends on your preferences. CS can be very challenging, but also very satisfying, especially if you are the creative type. On the other hand, a Finance/MIS combination sounds like a winner.
Reply:Computer science is a lot of programming. CIS I believe is people who do server administration and things like that.
