Which college should I go to as a computer science major? UCI or UCLA?

I don't know which school would be better for me as an undergraduate college. I got a lot of financial help from grants and scholarships from UCI and I only have to pay 2000 dollars per year out of my own pocket. However, I have to pay around 11,000 per year dollars through loans, work study, and parental contribution to go to UCLA. Both costs are for on-campus attendance. I am wondering if it is worth it to go to the better school, UCLA. Which has a better computer science program? Is undergraduate college THAT important? Or maybe I should go to UCI and consider a better graduate school. Thanks for your help.

You are better off going to UCI.

Good Luck!!!
Reply:i would def. say you should go to UCI, the programs are comparable but UCI will cost you less. Schools are both in the top 50 in the country so it's not like your sacrificing a good education by paying less!
Reply:WOW im in almost exactly the same situation. im choosing between UCI and UCLA as a computer science and engineering major. i got chancellor's scholarship from uc irvine and nothing from la. la is ranked like 15 and irvine is ranked like 30. at the la engineering open house, they said only one third to 35% of engineering students graduate in 4 years, which is somewhat scary. im leaning towards la, and i think you should too, because 11000 is nothing compared to my 24000. i got absolutely no grants. the downside to la is that it is significantly more competitive.
