Which one is better Education for the future a Doctor or a Computer Science?

I am wondering which field of study is better for the long run. Is it better becoming a Doctor or finishing a career in Computer Science? Thanks

Which one is better Education for the future a Doctor or a Computer Science?
Good question. From your question, it tells me you have a very balanced brain and smart. Most people lean toward one side. I am more engineering than biology for example. Even someone once in awhile mistakenly called me Dr. I would only thing about medicine in a dream. :)

I have BSEE degree with MBA. Have lots of friends/relatives who are doctors. Here is my take.

One friend got a EECS from UC Berkeley and then went to medical school. He is a pediatrician now.

Another guy is going through the similar path. From UC Berkeley and is medical now. He is a bit younger than the first case.

Computer Science is a field that is changing a lot due to outsourcing etc. The low lever job will be done in India and China. Doctor's jobs is much harder to outsourced. Even some are talking distance medicine. It is about 5% or less. Most people don't want to see their doctors more than 50 miles. Dealing with someone long distance is much harder. Health monitoring is totally different. If you go Computer Science go with something special. Another friend graduated from Stanford and went to Google (turned down an offer from Microsoft). She will have a great future knowing her ability.

To sum it up. If it all equal to you, (big assumption on my part...so much different in the field, pay, nature of work, location, different stress level etc.), medicine seems to have a bit of the upper hand.
Reply:according to me both the options are good for the future and u must be knowing that now a days computer engineering is on a very fast and vast scale of development so more and more new tech. is being introduced so later it will become a very very vast topic, doctor is also not a bad option they are required in very large nos. and are doing a good sort of work by saving people's life so your choice depends upon your choice of subjects and ur interest, all the best......
